This is a rework of a specific WW2 Tiger tank, that I attempted to create in early 2020. Upon looking back at the older piece, I took it upon myself to completly recreate it to look similiar to the original Tiger Tank 131. This tank resides in the Bovington Tank museum (Dorset, England). Using reference, moodboards and other research, I quickly got to work on creating all the individual parts, tracks, links, hatch etc from scratch. Most of the original Tiger 131 had distinct damage and certain details that were not attended to in contrast to other areas, such as the gasoline and engine parts at the back of the tank. I tried to replicate this by adding similiar damage results (holes, rust, dirt). For the final result, I set up a small diorama scene with some foliage, rocks and some replica assets that were commonly used in WW2. These were known as Czech Hedgehogs, Dragons teeth that were effective in stopping tanks from penetrating a line of defence.
The Tiger 131 is the world’s only running Tiger I Tank. It was captured on 24th April 1943 on Point 174 on the way between Medjez el Bab and Montarnaud in Tunisia, by 142nd Battalion RAC and 2nd Sherwood Foresters.
All assets and foliage was made by me. Modelled in Maya/Blender, Some meshes were sculpted and retopoligised in Zbrush, textured in Substance Painter, Rendered in both Unreal Engine 5/Marmoset toolbag, turntable video breakdown done in Adobe Premier pro and final compositions were done in Photoshop. Thanks for viewing.
